Best grown in a sheltered location.’Vilmoriniana’ is a small rounded conifer with dark green foliage that forms a small rounded bush. During the winter months the short needles turn a reddish purple.

This conifer is happy growing both in a container as well as the open border. For growing in a container we recommend that you use John Innes No 3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost. For planting in the open border it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. Plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
