Taro Araceae

A reliably tough clone that has proved as hardy as Colocasia fontanesii (syn. gaoligongensis) with us. A high altitude (2000m)collection from the upper limits of its range. Forms large leaves giving a truly tropical effect. The tubers are edible and used throughout SE Asia.

Hardy to -5C with mulch and possibly more if over wintered in a dry position.
