Fresh spring foliage emerges in shades of dramatic dark plum. This extra dark selection was introduced by Edelweiss Perennials. The leaves are gradually suffused with dark olive green while retaining a purple cast. Darker coloring persists in plants located in full sun. Beautifully contrasting clouds of small white flowers bloom at the ends of the foliage. For repeat bloom, cut the foliage to the ground once the first flush of flowers is spent, and provide supplemental water.
