With finely cut scented leaves, this plant produces an abundance of pink and white flowers in the summer, with attractive pink buds in early summer. Unlike other Choisya varieties, Apple Blossom boasts strong pink flowers that fade to white. It thrives in shade or 50% morning sun and should be protected in winter when temperatures drop below -5. While young plants may take a few years to flower, once established, they will bloom every spring. Prune in late spring to maintain shape.

Traditionally a spring bloomer, some varieties may also flower again in the autumn. Best grown in semi-shade, but can tolerate full sun, this plant responds well to general feeding and mulching. Peter Moore’s 1982 introduction, Choisya Aztec Pearl, has dissected leaves, while C.White Dazzler, C.Goldfingers, and C.Apple Blossom are all impressive varieties with unique characteristics.
