Originally from Mexico and the southwest USA, Choisya is a small genus of evergreen plants with just seven species. The most famous of these is ternata, commonly known as Mexican Orange Blossom for its sweetly scented flowers. However, the most interesting varieties have come from cultivation, such as Choisya Aztec Pearl, which was first raised in 1982 by Peter Moore. Other notable introductions include White Dazzler, Goldfingers, and Apple Blossom, which boasts stunning pink flowers.

Another popular variety in this genus is Choisya ternata Sundance, known for its bright golden yellow leaves. All of these Choisya plants thrive in semi-shade and are evergreen, making them a reliable addition to any garden.
