One of the showiest of the bellflowers with a clumping habit to boot! Large (2-3 in) blue-purple flowers top 1.5-2 ft stems in early summer, reminiscent of foxgloves, but with larger flowers and less toxicity.

Easy to grow and a long-lived perennial. Prefers sun and regular summer water, but will appreciate late afternoon shade in hotter climates.
