Large, deep red petals surrounding a smaller white center, reminiscent of an anemone flower. For many a Camellia collector, this is the one that started it all.

Prefers a lightly shaded site with some summer water. Camellias can take full shade or more sun, but too much exposure can lead to winter damage or summer stress, and too much shade will lead to fewer blooms.
