Alocasia odora California can be identified by its connected leaf blade at the base of the leaf.
Ideal for intermediateplant keepers or beyond
Light Requirements: Part-day direct sun or bright indirect light. These are best in rooms with 2 or 3 walls withglassand positioned right by a window.
Moisture & Soil Requirements: Must have evenly moist soil with good drainage in warm seasons – never soggy soil. Dial back watering frequency in winter unless you have dry air inside from heat sources. Mist during dry periods. Let this plant partly dry out between watering, the top 5cm or so can be dry before requiring water. If in doubt, use a moisture metre.
Growth & Nutrients: Clumping growth habit, grows upwards in a large V shape. Can handle dry spells.Suitspatios and outdoor containers, ideal coastal plant, best suited to warm frost-free areas.Aggressive root system so keep this plant away from water pipes. Feed with a general-purpose fertiliser for containers from the start of spring each year to autumn when growth slows down.
