Coleus, with its distinctive square stems and oppositely oriented leaves, is a member of the mint family. Although it is typically considered as an annual, it is actually a heat-loving herbaceous perennial.
They boast some of the most beautiful leaves, with hues of green, yellow, pink, red, maroon, and other colors. Additionally, the leaf sizes and general morphologies of coleus vary widely.

Sunlight – Dappled or partial shade
Watering – Even moist soil but not soggy. Container plants also require more frequent watering than those grown in the garden.
Soil – This plant requires well drained soil. Soil potting mixture for this plant should generally contain 40 % cocopeat, 40 vermicompost and 20 % local garden soil
Fertilizer – add vermicompost to induce growth.
