This outstanding African shrub makes a wonderful container plant or hanging basket where it adds color and fragrance. Thriving in lower light, its resilience in growth and perfect mounding habit makes Blue Lips loved by all. In its native habitat, it flowers in summer, but we have found it to bloom from spring to early winter in CT. The mauve-blue, fan-like flowers arise along the arching stems in continuous succession and when it gets too big simply prune it back which it takes with ease.
