Philodendron giganteum ‘Blizzard’
Philodendron giganteum Blizzard is a spectacular variegated giant, known for its enormous leaves marbled with silvery-white, cream and mint green patterns. Each leaf is uniquely splashed, often in broad strokes or speckles, creating a bold contrast against the naturally glossy green backdrop of its species. As the name suggests, this plant gets bigmature leaves can reach over a metre long in ideal conditions, making it a true statement piece for large indoor spaces or tropical-style rooms.
A self-heading, non-climbing species native to the Caribbean and Central America, P. giganteum has a lush, spreading growth habit that commands attention. ‘Blizzard’ is still rare in New Zealand and highly prized among collectors for its unstable and dramatic variegation.
Toxic if ingested.
