With entertaining colors that remind us of ribbon candy, this moderate size rex begonia has rounded, often spiraled leaves that are patterned in a band of burgundy with a speckled green interior and a deeper burgundy to red center. The leaves are ruffled and often pointed at the edge, creating a textured form. For a rex begonia, Ribbon Candy has a somewhat open habit with longer petioles giving it a lower stance although it is a standard rex begonia in height. Ribbon Candy is a Byron Martin hybrid.
