One of our most asked about plants for sale during the summer and fall. Extremely hardy perennial in our area and a great addition of pink to the garden when it flowers in the fall. Grows to about 2 feet tall or so and needs to be protected from the hot afternoon sun. On windy days the leaves blow back and forth and reveal a beautiful maroon underside. To propagate this plant you can find the tiny bulbils in the leaf axils before this plant dies back in the fall. These tiny seed looking structures actually small, asexually produced replicas of the plant that can be harvested and scattered in a new area of the garden.
