Sweet basil is an annual herbaceous plant with sweet scented oval bright green leaves widely used in food flavouring. It grows up to 30-60cm in height and thrives best in warm sunny areas and well-drained soil. Basil plant produces tiny white colour flowers which emerges in summer season and is bee friendly.

When grown in containers we recommend a good quality multipurpose compost is used. Plants should be fed during the growing season with a liquid feed as per the manufacturers instructions.
