Ashwagandha | Withania somnifera. Exotic herb that is used so much in natural medicine. Often rereferred to as ‘Indian Ginseng’ and ‘Winter Cherry’. Will grow into a small woody shrub approx. 1.5m in height in its native setting but in this country should reach around 40cm. Very popular in ayurvedic therapies to help manage stress. Best grown in a greenhouse or under cover.
