Alocasia cuprea x frydek is a hybrid between Alocasia cuprea (native to Borneo, noted for its metallic coppercoloured juvenile leaves and purple reverse) and Alocasia frydek (a domesticated form of Alocasia micholitziana, with velvety deep green leaves and crisp white veins).This hybrid combines the copper sheen and softness of cuprea with the bold arrowshaped form and contrast veining of frydek.

At humidity levels above 70%, this plant could perform well in a terrariumensure adequate height if using an enclosed space given its potential size. Leaf margins and texture remain best under consistently humid air.
