A spectacular species of the seaside cliffs of Parati in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is a giant grower to about 5 feet across. The leaves are many, up to 3 feet long, recurving at the tip and speckled with purple. The scape, to almost 6 feet tall, has red bracts and long straight branches.
