Part of the Feather Friends collection, Ajuga ‘Petite Parakeet’ is compact with golden chartreuse leaves that stand out in a darkened, shady garden. The leaves will darken as the plant matures creating new colors in the garden over time. The flowers are deep, blueish- purple which boldly contrasts the bright colored leaves in spring.

Ajuga ‘Petite Parakeet’ prefers full to part shade (afternoon shade) and average moisture. It is adaptable to many soil types, but it performs best in well-draining soil. Ajuga, also known as Bugleweed, works as a great groundcover in shady area. Ajuga primarily spready through stolons (or runners) and a barrier may be required to prevent it from spreading into lawns.
