Large bromeliad up to 3′, with arching stripey leaves, finely toothed along the margins. When given plenty of bright lights, will make a soft yellow flower spike that lasts months. Drought tolerant, likes well-drained soil. Cold hardy to below 20, good in the ground, container, or epiphytically.
