A large, robust, bottle-shaped beauty. Silvery leaves with moderately large spines form a tight tube before anthesis and becomes bottle shaped, thick at the base and constricted at the top. The inflorescence is a cone of yellow flowers which turns black after closing. The bracts in this form are pure white. A spectacular plant for landscape use.
