Alocasia ‘Lukiwan’ is a rare and visually striking hybrid, created by Indonesian horticulturist Wawan Santoso during his tenure at Chong Lee Nursery in Malaysia between 2001 and 2016. By crossing Alocasia alba with Alocasia sinuata, Santoso combined the elegant form of alba with the textured, metallic leaves of sinuata. The name ‘Lukiwan’ is a heartfelt tribute, blending ‘Luki’his wife Luki Ani’s namewith ‘Wan’ from his own, reflecting the personal significance behind this unique plant.
