New Zealand endangered native variant with pink fading to magenta blooms that resemble the peak of the kk parrot. Also sometimes called “lobster claw”, growing 4 to 6 feet, flowering spring to summer. Can be espaliered. Protect from hard frosts in a sheltered spot. Low-maintenance, attracts hummingbirds.
