Brazilian native, and well-known winter bloomer – sprawling segmented cactus does not have painful spines, and will bloom a plethora of white-to-redorange orchid-like blooms. The trick to getting blossoms is keeping it in a darker room (at least 12-16 hours of dimness) that gets down around 50-60 – placing it in the garage for a week or two usually does the trick! If it’s not working, restrict water a little more than usual. Protect from frost and drafty areas (not under an ac vent), do not overwater.
