Endemic to South Africa, the Crassula tetragona originally starts out as a little shrub of curved plump leaves. A small stem then starts to form, and the plant becomes more and more tree-like as the stem grows, thickening and becoming more woody with age.
Endemic to South Africa, the Crassula tetragona originally starts out as a little shrub of curved plump leaves. A small stem then starts to form, and the plant becomes more and more tree-like as the stem grows, thickening and becoming more woody with age. Only ever reaching around 1m in height, this wonderful succulent has earned itself the common name Miniature Pine Tree, as it does look just like that.
In Summer water thoroughly only when 100% of the soil has dried out. A/W allow soil to dry 100% – water sparingly (every two month). Spring gradually increase watering – depending on temp and light exposure.

Use a succulent fertiliser 4-6 times from April – September.
Can stay in the same pot for a number of years. If it outgrows its pot, use a very well-draining cacti & succulent compost with an added drainage medium like perlite.
