A dense, conical or columnar, evergreen, conifer with reddish-brown, exfoliating bark, flattened sprays of ovate, scale-like, aromatic, cream-tipped, dark green leaves, flushed bronze in winter.

This conifer is happy growing both in a container as well as the open border. For growing in a container we recommend that you use John Innes No 3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost. For planting in the open border it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. Plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
