The New Caledonia Giant Gecko can be found (you guessed it!) in New Caledonia, Oceania. This island can be found far east, off the coast of Australia. Aptly named, this is the worlds largest living species of gecko! How so, you might ask? It has been theorized and considered that the Leachianus gecko is an example of island gigantism, which is when animals from the mainland are isolated on an island and evolve over many years to have larger bodies because of plentiful resources. Preferring to stick to the high canopies throughout the island, this vociferous reptile loves to make homes out of tree hollows and ventures out at night, blending in to their surroundings with their impressive camouflage.

With The Dude’s Terra Fauna, you are able to recreate a habitat that makes your Leachie feel more secure and confident.
