Long established, popular main-crop variety producing an abundant yield of large thick red stalks. The stalks are not tough or stringy but are juicy and sweet with a tart punch! Excellent for pies & preserves. Very hardy variety and one of the easiest to grow. Can be cropped lightly in the first year then regularly from the second. A good low maintenance crop, well worth the effort! Will do best in a position of full sun. Eventual height and spread: 1m (3ft). Self fertile.
