Catmint is a hardy herbaceous perennial plant with heart-shaped aromatic green to grey-green leaves and is widely used in teas or food flavouring. Catmint grows in a bushy shaped plant 60-90cm height and 60-90cm spread, it thrives best in full sun to part shade areas in dry to medium well drained soils. Its flowers are lavender-blue colour in June time and it flowers till early Autumn. It’s also bee and butterfly friendly and acts as an aphrodisiac for felines.

When grown in containers we recommend a good quality multipurpose compost is used. Plants should be fed during the growing season with a liquid feed as per the manufacturers instructions.
