Thyme Creeping Red is a hardy evergreen herbaceous perennial plant with small, linear to ovate, aromatic green leaves and it’s widely used for teas and food flavouring. It grows up to 10cm in height and up to 10 – 30cm in spread and thrives best in sheltered full sun south or east facing position in moist, but well drained fertile neutral soil. Spikes of whorled, red flowers emerge in May – June and is bees and butterflies friendly.

When grown in containers we recommend a good quality multipurpose compost is used. Plants should be fed during the growing season with a liquid feed as per the manufacturers instructions.
