Originally from South America, Caladiums are alsoknown aselephant ear (a name they share with the closely related Alocasia, Colocasia, and Xanthosoma), heart of Jesus or angel wings. They are very popular due to their incredibly lush multicolour leaves, which are usually bigger than your palms, but can grow a lot biggerthan that too!
Plant care
Light: Bright, indirect sunlight. They can takesomedirect morning sun, but direct midday sun will burn the leaves. The more hours of light the plant gets each day, the bigger the leaves will grow.
Water: Keep the potting mix moist, but not soggy, throughout the growing season, spring and summer.
Temperature/Humidity: Caladiums will thrive in warm and humid environments. Keep away from cold drafts and mist regularly.
