Fatsia Japonica is sometimes refered to as the Castor Oil Plant. It has large glossy green fingered leaves .Stems of globular white flowers in the summer months.Best grown in a moist yet well drained soil in a shadier position out of cold winds.

Planting : When planting in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If planting in a container then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost with added John Innes. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
