True to its name, many flowers appear year-round on this unusual Brazilian species. The narrow red bracts, reaching skyward, reveal the rolled purple flowers and its protruding stamen. This shiny leafed mallow has an upright growth habit, is easy to grow and responds well to hard pruning.
Special Note: Pavonia plants naturally excrete small, round grains, or growth sugars, on the undersides of the leaves. While sometimes confused for insect eggs or a sign of disease, these sugar grains are actually a sign of normal, healthy growth, and are nothing to be worried about.
