The dwarf June Plum has amazed us with its ability to flower and fruit at a young age. It can be easily maintained in a 12 pot and will reach 3-6 in height. The fruit appears in pairs and may be eaten green when its tart and crunchy in salads or allowed to fully ripen to a golden-yellow when it has a sweet pineapple-mango flavor. This New World plant is deciduous in winter but the fruit holds on the tree for up to 6-8 months after the leaves have dropped.
