A curious polygonatum that many, unfamiliar with the odd ducks of the genus, are unable to place as a Solomon Seal. Polygonatum hookeri stays under 6 in off the top of the soil and has open pale pink-purple flowers. Honestly, if you squint, it looks like a dwarf alpine daphne.

In our summers with little to no rain, it prefers cool light shade with excellent drainage and regular moisture. In its native habitat with humidity and regular rain, it can move through areas with full sun.
