An evergreen shrub 6 8′ tall and wide, the Pineapple Guava has exotic-looking flowers with pink and white petals and an explosion of vermillion stamens. The tasty, sweet fruit may not set every year depending upon your climate; in cooler climes plant it in a warm spot. Native to the highlands of South America, it does, however, require a cool winter to fruit well. Plant 2 for best fruit set.
