Not actually part of the Begonia family, the ‘Strawberry Begonia’ earned its nickname because it looks similar to a Begonia and produces runners which develop smaller plants – like a Strawberry plant. It is also referred to as the ‘Strawberry Geranium’ because it appearance also resembles a Geranium plant.
You can remove the small plantlets that grow at the bottom of the runners and propagate them to produce more Saxifraga.
This adorable plants cream and green leaves are lined with pink, which willbecome more vibrant when itreceives brighter light.
Care:
Light:Bright indirect light creates brighter pink colour in the leaves.
Water:Keep moist during summer and water less during the winter months. Avoid any water on the plants leaves (bottom watering is recommended).
Food: During the summer months feed weekly using aweak fertiliser. Avoid feeding during the winter months.
Humidity: Normal household humidity isideal for the Strawberry Begonia.
