Epidendrum medusae, commonly known as the Medusa Orchid, is an interesting and unique orchid species. It gets its name from the distinctive way its pendant inflorescences resemble the snaky hair of the mythical creature Medusa. The flowers are usually small and greenish, and the plant itself has thin, grass-like leaves.
