A ginger relative from the swamps of Central Africa, this species grows to 8′ tall and provides splendid contrast in the landscape. Its green leaves have bright purple undersides, and its flowers emerge from showy purple-pink bracts. Requires fertile, moist soil in partial sun. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
