Found in the high, rocky areas of the Himalayas and into China. Low-growing foliage (just about 1 inch) spreads on underground woody stems. Yellow blooms 2 inches above low bright green foliage have cute reverse heart-shaped petals. Blooms in late summer. Floriferous and low-growing, this can be a great crevice filler or between stepping stones. Requires drainage. Excellent rock garden plant.
