Corydalis lutea has bright yellow, tubular flowers that form in small clusters along stems on leafy mounds of green foliage. Preferring rich well-drained and moist soil, Yellow Bleeding Heart does best in cooler environments with low humidity and plenty of shade to protect its lacey foliage.

Corydalis lutea blooms from late spring to mid-fall, allowing the bright green foliage to self-seed and spread out aggressively from wherever it is rooted.
