Hosta ‘Wrinkle in Time’ is a little gem with showy, dark green leaves with wavy leaf margins and yellow edges that mature to white. There is a gray-green zone where the center and margin overlap. ‘Wrinkle in Time’ produces lavender blooms on 15″ scapes in midsummer. This perennial adds a real sense of movement to the border. It prefers partial to full shade and moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil.

Hosta will grow in ordinary garden soil and withstand drought, but they are most beautiful when provided consistent moisture. They will tolerate clay soil and can be grown under black walnut trees. Plantain Lily are classic perennial shade garden plants that will also grow well in containers.
