Miniature Brass Buttons, Leptinella gruveri has tiny, serrated, light olive green leaves that form a flat carpet. It spreads by underground runners to make a dense perennial ground cover that will inhibit weeds. Leptinella gruveri is excellent between stepping stones.

Leptinella gruveri prefers sun to light shade and moist, acidic, humus-rich soil. Miniature Brass Buttons is good in hot summer climates, but it is intolerant of drought. It can take heavy foot traffic. Space on 8″ centers.
