Aptly named, Echinacea paradoxa is a yellow Purple Coneflower, hence the ‘paradoxa’ epitaph. Drooping yellow flower petals surround copper brown cones at the top of tall stems. Smooth, lance-shaped, dark green leaves form a basal rosette. Echinacea paradoxa‘s heaviest bloom is in early summer, but it may bloom sporadically throughout the summer. Fragrant and showy perennial Yellow Coneflower blooms are nice for cutting.

Echinacea paradoxa prefers full sun and average to poor, well-drained soil. Yellow Coneflower is drought tolerant and will easily naturalize where happy. Excellent meadow plant.
