A lovely North American native with many common names including Spreading Bellwort, Straw Lily, Wild Oats, and Sessile-leaf Bellwort. Its delicate drooping stems support one or two downward facing creamy bells. It can develop into a charming shady woodland groundcover, though it tolerates some sun as well. Its springtime blooms give way to tiny green fruits.
