If asked to imagine a fairytale toadstool, youre likely to think of a fungus with a red cap and white spots, this is the Fly Agaric. Commonly depicted in childrens books and on Christmas cards, this iconic fungus is at home in our woodlands and it is always a treat to spot its vibrant display as it fruits in the Autumn.
