ABOUT GOMPHRENA: The Gomphrena (Botanical Name: Gomphrena globose) is a tropical annual plant belonging to the family Amaranthaceae. It is commonly known as the Globe Amaranth owing to the round globe shaped flowers. The flower colour predominantly ranges between magenta, purple, red, pink and lilac.

CARE TIPS FOR GOMPHRENA:

• TEMPERATURE- A range of 20-30C is most suitable for the plant.
• SOIL- Well-drained moist soil is suitable for the plant. The plant cant tolerate waterlogging.
• WATERING- Water should not stand on the seedling tray. Regular watering is to be done. Also, watering is to be done at the base of plant to prevent wetting of the leaves. Wet leaves are susceptible to fungal diseases.
• FERTILIZERS: The plant demands for the monthly application of fertilizers for best results.
