The Dwarf Chain Loach, Ambastaia sidthimunki is a small, friendly fish that grows to about 2 inches long. Its body is covered in cool, chainlike markings that stand out in any tank. These loaches love to swim around in groups, exploring plants, rocks, and driftwood. Watching them dart and play together is so fun to watch and is sure to keep your aquarium feeling lively.

To keep them happy, give them a tank with soft, slightly acidic water, good filtration, and gentle water flow. Pack the bottom with sand or fine gravel and add lots of hiding spots, think plants, caves, or driftwood. Feed them sinking pellets, flakes, and treats like brine shrimp or bloodworms. They get along well with other peaceful fish, especially their own kind, so keep at least five together. With the right setup, these little loaches will thrive and bring fun energy to your freshwater tank.
