Originally, when it was first entering mass cultivation it was thought this time Tiger Tooth was a juvenile form of a much larger Aloe. And was given the identification of Aloe juvenna which later became its formal name.

The Tiger Tooth Aloe goes in an upward rosette formation, creating long box-shaped stems that are prone to flopping over. The foliage is a bright green with cream-colored speckles and teeth along its edge. When it becomes happily sun-stressed the tiger Tooth turns a blushed red hue.
