They are upright, smooth, dark green hollow tubes that terminate in a point. Each tube-leaf is ca. 1/21-inch in diameter. From the Drakensberg foothills of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where summer temperatures are cool. Clumping; to 3.5 feet tall.
