Aechmea ‘Pink Goddess’ x Neoregelia cruenta (former hatschbachii clone) by Jimmy Antle. A robust plant to about 30in tall with very stiff, well armed leaves of burgundy red, coated with silvery scurf below and well banded with silver above. It grows in an upright, funnel-form rosette with an inflorescence consisting of a cluster of short pinkish-red branches with blue flowers. An extremely handsome plant that can be grown as a pot plant or used effectively in landscape.
